Present: John Slaby, Chairman, Roy Boushon and Mike Galloway, Town Supervisors, and Jamie Soberg, Clerk/Treasurer.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Slaby at 7 pm.
Checks numbered 426-427, 18165 – 18192 were signed by the board.
Recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Clerk read the minutes from the Board Meeting held in September. Motion by Galloway/Boushon to receive and place on file as presented. Carried. There was discussion on the letter to deny snowplow contracts indicating ‘only when called’.
Soberg read the Treasurers report for the month of September. Motion by Boushon/Galloway to receive and place on file as presented. Carried.
Slaby shared that the Lugerville School Committee had a new well drilled at the school and it tested good.
A briefing on the Ambulance meeting was given by Slaby and costs will increase by about $1,475 due to the purchase of one new defibrillator for the ambulance.
There was discussion about purchasing a computer and getting internet service for the town garage. This would assist the crew in price comparisons for parts, machine maintenance info, ability to use spreadsheets for tracking and reporting. Soberg will check on prices of computers, printers and supplies as well as check with Norvado on internet service and hookup. It may be helpful to check with other townships to see what they are doing. Soberg asked the board to also consider some type of reimbursement for use of her home internet as the town clerk.
A date to work on the proposed town budget for 2021 has been set for November 5th at 7 pm. The public hearing on the proposed 2021 town budget is set for November 12th at 7 pm with the regular monthly meeting to follow.
Public Comment – Rob Grigsby mentioned that loggers are ripping up the new shoulder area. Boushon to remind the loggers that any damage to the road or right-a-way will need to be fixed by them.
Motion by Galloway/Boushon to adjourn. Carried.
