November 2021 Meeting Minutes

November 11, 2021

Present: John Slaby, Chairman, Roy Boushon, Town Supervisor, and Jamie Soberg, Clerk/Treasurer. Lee Lamoreaux, Town Supervisor absent.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Slaby at 7 pm.

Checks numbered 455-457, 18581 – 18609 were signed by the board.

Recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

After some discussion, motion by Rob Grigsby/Chris Boushon to approve levy as proposed $136,670.00. Carried.

Motion by Slaby/Boushon to close the Public Hearing.

Slaby opened the remainder of the Town Board Meeting at 7:21 pm.

Motion by Boushon/Slaby to adopt 2022 Budget as proposed. Levy of $136,670.00. Total revenues and expenses total $496,607.00 each and road maintenance expense $299,807.00. Carried.

Clerk read the minutes from the Board Meeting held in October. Motion by Slaby/Boushon to receive and place on file as read. Carried.

Soberg read the Treasurers report for the month of October. Motion by Boushon/Slaby to receive and place on file as presented. Carried.

Slaby gave a briefing on the Fire Ad Hoc meeting and that the budget has been set.

Rob Grigsby shared estimate for EPDM roof for the school building that needs repair done for the leaking roof. The baseline cost to do part of the roof would be $12,600.

Slaby reported the town does not qualify for a LRIP grant at this time as we just received one last year.

There was a motion by Slaby to raise the charge to $100/hr when we help private individuals to install culverts. Seconded by Boushon. Carried.

Public Comment – Dean Manecke inquired about the plans for North Fork Road. Slaby mentioned that it will be submitted for a grant with the Flambeau River State Forest in the next budget which would be July 2023. In the meantime, gravel could be pulled back into the road and packed with the grader in the spring.

Motion by Boushon/Slaby to adjourn. Carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:01 pm.
