Soberg shared interest rate information for both Prevail and Forward Bank accounts. After some discussion, the board decided to table the topic for another month.

Slaby gave a briefing on the Fire Ad Hoc meeting. The Phillips department had a state audit and going forward there needs to be a minimum of 5 fireman at a fire, where currently there is only 3. This would most likely require another truck to be dispatched which may result in a higher fire call cost. The City of Phillips office is working on the details of these changes.

The Ambulance meeting was attended by Slaby. The Phillips and Prentice departments have been working together. The defibrillators have arrived. The departments are also looking for younger people to help as EMTs. First responders can earn $15/hour.

Rob Grigsby gave an update on equipment. As preventative maintenance, McCoy will be doing some work on the grader with valves and fluid checks before the new packer gets put on.

There was discussion regarding damage being done to roads particularly Popple Hill Road. Slaby talked with the WTA about using cameras to monitor what is happening. For now, the right-a-way will be maintained and any issues will be addressed later. The chairman and supervisors will split up the town roads equally to perform the annual road survey and will report any findings at next month’s meeting.

Recycling center prices were reviewed and adjustments were discussed especially on tires. Soberg to update the price list.

Public Comment – Therese Trojak mentioned seeing a logo on another town truck and thought it might be a nice idea for our town trucks.
