Present: John Slaby, Chairman, Roy Boushon & Mike Galloway, Town Supervisors, and Jamie Soberg, Clerk/Treasurer.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Slaby at 7 pm.
Checks numbered 476-479, 18798– 18819 were signed by the board.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Clerk read the minutes from the Board Meeting held in May. Motion by Galloway/Boushon to receive and place on file as read. Carried.
Soberg read the Treasurers report for the month of May. Motion by Galloway/Boushon to receive and place on file as presented. Carried.
The board members reviewed their findings from the annual road survey they each did over the last month.
Motion by Boushon/Galloway to renew liquor licenses for 9 Mile Tavern, Boyd’s Resort, Crane Chase Tavern, and Goebel’s South Fork. Carried.
Maureen Trojak shared an update on the Lugerville School projects. Bathrooms are being updated for wheel chair accessibility along with a fresh coat of paint to a few rooms. She asked if the town would move the driveway since the neighboring property was surveyed and the property lines have changed. The town board agreed to help make the changes along with adding some handicap parking space.
The Kelly Sport Shop property across from the town hall has been sold. The well on this property was closed due to the benzine contamination years ago. Because this property along with adjoining property was family owned, the owners agreed with the town to replace only the well on the adjoining property to be shared by both properties. Now with the land being split and sold, the town will have a new well drilled to replace the original one that was closed and never redrilled.
Slaby shared that Lepke has experience with pulverizing seal coat and has had great success with it. Lepke estimated it would cost $11,615.40 to pulverize the seal coat on Price Lake Road that has deteriorated. Lepke would charge $7.35/yd for us to load their trucks to haul the gravel that would need to be brought in. The gravel from Schnautz pit would be $9/yd. After some discussion, it was decided to load and haul the gravel ourselves with the town trucks. There was a motion by Galloway, seconded by Boushon, to have Lepke pulverize the existing seal coat of Price Lake Road from Hwy 70 to Reynolds Rd. Carried.
Public Comment – Therese Trojak commented that the ball field is looking good.
Rebekah Trigg inquired about liquor licenses for selling alcohol on the premises and where town ordinances are located, which is with the town clerk.
Slaby shared that the Town of Harmony is asking to break off with the Catawba Fire Department and contract with the Phillips department again so there will be a special Fire AdHoc meeting scheduled.
Motion by Galloway/Boushon to adjourn. Carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm.
Respectfully submitted by: Jamie Soberg
