Present: John Slaby, Chairman and Roy Boushon, Town Supervisor. Jamie Soberg, Clerk/Treasurer, excused absence. Lee Lamoreaux, Town Supervisor has passed away.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Slaby at 7 pm.
Checks numbered 458-460, 18610 – 18631 were signed by the board.
Recited the Pledge of Allegiance with a moment of silence to follow in honor of Lee Lamoreaux.
Slaby read the minutes from the Board Meeting held in November. He added that it should include the public hearing was opened to the electors. Motion by Boushon/Slaby to receive and place on file as read with proposed changes. Carried.
Slaby read the Treasurers report for the month of November. Motion by Boushon/Slaby to receive and place on file as presented. Carried.
Slaby shared that the Town of Elk requested an additional meeting with the ambulance service. There were concerns with a 30% increase to building, shop and ambulance maintenance. It was discussed that the increase amounted to a little over $1,000 which was due to additional wages to maintain the building the ambulance service had acquired.
A motion was made by Slaby to correct the August 2021 minutes regarding the bidders for the chip seal project to Lake Road and South Fork Road. It should read to include that Scott Construction was the only bidder on the project. Seconded by Boushon. Carried.
Soberg presented these names to be considered for appointment as election workers for the years 2022 & 2023: Karleen Masephol, Jane Brecht, Lisa Slaby, Judy Atchley, Rose Teal, Barbara Dampier, and Kathy Raab. Motion by Boushon/Slaby to appoint these residents as election workers for 2022 – 2023. Carried.
Public Comment – There was discussion on Kevin Jordan’s driveway. Boushon will contact him about concerns with snowplowing. Amanda Frelke asked that the town truck plow all the way down Bandy Road as there is a posted driveway farther down where the road is not getting plowed.
Motion by Slaby/Boushon to adjourn. Carried.
